[fr]Concert d’Emilie Škrijelj - accordéon & électronics[en]Emilie Škrijelj concert accordion & electronics

Concert

Free entrance, subject to availability.

Emilie Škrijelj explores the accordion down to its slightest folds, using it as both a percussion instrument and a generator of electroacoustic material. Inspired by her research into platinum, modular synths and field recording, she brings the accordion onto abstract electronic territory by manipulating the bellows, rubbing its contours and exploring its extremes.

Emilie Škrijelj has played in several festivals, including Météo Music Festival (FR) / Copenhagen Jazz Festival (DK) / Konfrontationen festival (AT) / Musique Action (FR) / Switch Festival (FR) / Bruisme festival (FR) / Le Bruit de la Musique (FR) / MÓZG Festival (PL) / Festival Densités (FR) / Ear We Are (CH) / Sound (Dis)obedience (SLO) / Jazz à Luz (FR) / FIMAV (CA) / Sons d’hiver (FR) / Music Unlimited (AT).

The concert is offered as part of In a Landscape, a season of travelling concerts initiated by the GMEA - Centre National de Création Musicale d’Albi-Tarn, whose purpose is to promote artists that are representative of the liveliness and pluralism of music performance today.

Travelling programme from November 2023 to May 2024 in Albi at the GMEA, in Toulouse at Le Vent des Signes and Théâtre Garonne, and in Sète at the Crac Occitanie.
